“What I found interesting between the years 2015 and 2019” by Zachary Mitchell

  • 700 Bryden - The GCAC Gallery 700 Bryden Road Columbus, OH, 43215 United States (map)

Opening Reception on Saturday, August 10th from 5:00-8:00pm. Free to the public.

Description of work:
This debut exhibition from artist Zachary Mitchell showcases more than 50 works of still life. By reimagining objects found in every day life, utilizing a bright color palette, and manipulating large paper, this exhibition provides an immersive experience into the exploration of the mundane.

Artist bio:

I found a Nikon FA 35mm camera in my childhood closet - one that my parents kept tucked away in storage - and ever since then I’ve been interested in the arts. I work in a variety of mediums like acrylics, photography, silkscreen, and bookbinding. My passion for the arts comes from an excitement in attempting to capture a moment or idea and never really being able to do so. It is the chase that keeps me creating.
